Here I was in some unknown suburb of Reykjavik, Iceland, having an impromptu Playstation Singstar competition with my new Icelandic friends. Previously we had been out together at a birthday meal and I had bought my most expensive glass of wine ever ($40!). When I was told about the “board game bang,” you may be able to sympathize with what I imagined. A small, simple entrance, which revealed the small, dimly lit hallway leading to a similarly lit room. No matter when one listens from the outside of the door, the same sounds can be heard – groans, mock cries of pain mixed in with the occasion real ones, laughter, and cheers of accomplishment.
